Have you ever browsed our class offerings here at The Movement Apothecary and wondered "what the heck is Buti Yoga?"

Buti Yoga is not your traditional yoga practice. It is an energetic, cardio-intensive practice that blends power yoga, primal movement, tribal dance, and plyometrics (jump training). You can expect to move through yoga postures, dance, stretch, jump, make noise, and work up a sweat. "Buti" is a Marathi word roughly translating to "a cure that has been hidden or kept secret," and the practice of Buti Yoga teaches that healing comes from within. It focuses on building inner strength, releasing stored tension, and unleashing confidence. Unlike traditional yoga flows, Buti is dynamic, rhythmic, and fun. It's designed to sweat out stress, build functional core strength, and leave you feeling completely empowered.

Sarah started teaching traditional yoga in 2015 and gained her 500hr in 2018. She began teaching Buti Yoga in 2018, became an advanced Buti instructor in 2024, and was recently invited to join the Master Trainer program. Her class is a safe space for mutual empowerment in a judgement-free zone. Sarah also teaches Barre Sculpt at The Movement Apothecary here in Fort Collins, and will incorporate aspects of Barre and traditional yoga into her Buti classes.

Want to give Buti a try? Bring a water bottle, a sweat towel, and wear comfortable athletic attire. You will be moving to high energy music and are encouraged to make noise! You can slap the mat, yell, or sing along to the music to release pent-up energy. Prepare to move freely and confidently, without worrying about perfect form.

Buti Yoga with Sarah is every Wednesday from 6:15-7:15pm at The Movement Apothecary in Fort Collins, Colorado. We hope to see you in class!
