PILATES

Pilates is a safe & effective way to build strength and connect with your body, whether you’re using a mat or equipment. It’s great for improving posture, gaining body awareness, and boosting self confidence. Inspired by the principles of Joseph Pilates, this practice can make a big difference in how you look and feel. Pilates helps you strengthen and tone while improving range of motion and flexibility. Plus, it’s gentle on the body and great for easing back pain. The best part? Pilates is for everyone—any age, shape, or fitness level with modifications for all.

POWER PILATES

This high-intensity full body workout is non-stop Mat Pilates from start to finish. This class is 45 minutes and will have you sweating! We work on arm strength, core stability, toning the lower body, balance and so much more! Leave class feeling longer, stronger and taller.

BARRE SCULPT

Barre classes engage muscles you wouldn't normally target—ones deep inside your body that squats, lunges and sit-ups don't reach. With high-reps and low-impact movements, barre challenges anyone looking to fine-tune their muscles—no ballet experience required.

REFORMER PILATES

Reformer Pilates is a dynamic style of Pilates that uses a unique machine called the Reformer Apparatus, which looks like a bed with springs, a sliding platform (carriage), ropes, and pulleys. The springs add resistance, the carriage provides support, while the ropes and pulleys help make the movements smooth and flowing. Designed by Joseph Pilates back in the 1920s, the Reformer is effective for strengthening your core, improving balance, and training coordination. It is also ideal for rehab because you can work lying down, which reduces pressure on your legs and joints. Whether you're aiming for core stability, flexibility, or overall body strength and mobility; Reformer Pilates offers incredible benefits for ALL! We utilize the time-tested Balanced Body Studio Reformers in our studio.

At The Movement Apothecary we also have the innovative Konnector Attachment on our Reformers. This gives us even more range for exercises and modifications on the Reformer! The Konnector is a single-rope pulley system with attachment points for all four limbs. The patented system enables independent and simultaneous movement of both arms and legs. Users experience constant proprioceptive feedback, facilitating full-body integration and stronger core activation. PLUS, we are the only studio in Fort Collins that offers this groundbreaking apparatus!

Reformer I - Fundamentals is a beginner class to introduce participants to the Pilates method and apparatus. We always encourage those who are new to Pilates to try this class first!

Reformer II is an all levels class for those who are new to Pilates as well as those who are well practiced in Pilates. Each class depends on who arrives and will be ever evolving. We are always building in this class!

Reformer III is an intermediate/advanced Reformer Pilates class that is challenging and dynamic! It is geared towards those who feel confident in their Pilates practice and want to expand their abilities.

COMMUNITY YOGA

A weekly donation based yoga class to re-enforce the foundations of movement. With a balance of strengthening and opening, this call can support your current movement routine or stand on it’s own as an embodied start to your weekend. Stick around for community coffee or tea afterwards!

VINYASA FLOW

This class will be a vinyasa style flow with an aim to support each person and their unique goals. Throughout the class we will focus on breath, body mechanics, and somatic curiosity to create a connected and empowered flow.

FIRE VINYASA FLOW

Ignite your inner power and find your flow in this dynamic, energizing midday class. Set in a warm studio to encourage flexibility and relaxation, Fire Vinyasa Flow combines invigorating sequences with intentional breathwork to build strength, resilience, and focus. As we move through a series of fiery postures, you’ll engage your core, improve endurance, and explore the balance between effort and ease. Expect a mix of grounding and uplifting poses designed to challenge your body and mind while leaving you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the rest of your day. All levels are welcome; modifications will be offered.

POWER YOGA FLOW

Power Yoga Flow is designed to be fast paced; creating a deeper mind breath connection by taking one movement per breath for an extended flow. This allows the body to drop into a spiritual exercise as well as a cardiovascular one. Recovery flow yoga brings the practice into low gear, focusing on the release of the joints and muscles more than strength. Slow flows encourage poses to be held for longer periods of time, allowing the breath and body to deeply calm. Both flows engage the entire body and create space for reflection and self care.

Calisthenics Photo

CALISTHENICS

The Art to Full Body Control

Calisthenics is a multitude of free body exercises performed with various degrees of rhythm and intensity, displaying control in all of the movements. Specialized movements will be the primary focus, movements such as push-ups of different variations, sit-ups of different variations, and inversions. Calisthenics has been known to promote relative strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, and cardio health. This type of exercise has been around since the 19th century, close to the time Gymnastics had been popularized in the modern century but it has been used for centuries in many different regimes. From the Spartans to the Yogis, to the Monks and the Militaries. This type of fitness training and its many elements can be found in many movements universally.
Whether you have zero experience in Calisthenics or are very experienced, preparation of the basic necessary mobility in the shoulders and wrist as well as the strength in that mobility, are a key to your journey in Calisthenics and a key to your growth in it. That is a primary focus as it will help you develop a strong foundation for more advanced movements and exercises in Calisthenics.

ZUMBA

Latin Dance Party!

Perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on.
We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check.
A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.

ECSTATIC DANCE CYPHER

Music is such an integral part of dance, but what is it about music that compels us to move? In this class, we explore our relationship with music and gain a deeper understanding of how it connects to our movement and life practices. Centered around improvisation and freeform movement, you are invited to find yourself through sound no matter your experience with dance or music. After all, no training is required to groove along to your favorite songs!
The first half of class consists of groove meditations, improv exercises, games, and most importantly, listening!

The second half is a typical ecstatic dance/open jam dedicated to allowing participants share music that moves them and dance with others in a cypher-style/open floor environment.

Come as you are, the only requirements are open ears and open hearts!

CARDIO HIP HOP

Cardio Hip Hop is an intense dance workout that is fun, high energy and unapologetic. The choreography uses full range, powerful movements that maximize your burn. All fitness levels are welcome and no dance experience is needed.
